House, Ile de re, france

This holiday house is often full of guests and as such needed more sleeping space. Bed capacity internally was maximised with a built-in double bed within the staircase space and the shed was transformed into a compact but habitable bedroom with its own en-suite, that closes with a local antique door.

The house itself is home to an eclectic assortment of pieces, from old family furniture and books to artworks, and the key was to put all these together to create a relaxed but unique space. The idea here was to make a home away from home rather than just a holiday one.
