Grade II Georgian House, Hampstead, London
This 1720 listed Georgian house was in need of complete renovation. The aim here was to create a home that was as true as possible to its Georgian heritage while making it modern and more energy efficient. Architect Duncan Woodburn was brought in to completely redesign the services and help make it more sustainable.
For the interiors, we aimed to make it practical and beautiful for all each member of the family with mix of contemporary and old furniture, a place for art, books, a dumb waiter to make life easier, a dark unwelcoming kitchen turned into a beautiful family space, a dark TV nook, emulating dark Georgian interiors but with a modern twist, a music studio/office at the top and a games room in the basement that doubles up as a simple gym.
This beautiful house in need of a lot of TLC is now a beautiful family home.
